Seriously our 4020. Had it since......76' I think? Forget what year it is, but it's all field work. We've since upgraded to a 4330(?) and a 46 series...mostly custom baling, windrowing too. Can't remember. I got out of the family farming thing.........driving along disking one day, then bam, it hits me. I went to a Big 10 college and got a degree. What. The. Fuck. Answer: aw... never had a deere, and coming from veg. farming, certainly never had any 90 horse tractors.. but i still love 'em! i miss my IH 674 and ford 5000 EVERY day and damn do i miss the smell of diesel fuel.. so long as the family doesn't leave-- you can always go back.. y'might just! i know i'd trade my degree for 12 acres of bottomland.. i'd never EAT again.. but i'd sure be stoked to stand in line at tisco and have boots covered in freakin universal fluid again.. I just get tired of maintenance on all the stuff....by maintenance I mean: fixing shit with duct tape, twine and whatever else isn't bolted down.
