tonnes of japanese wrestling has made its way on to youtube now.
theres some awesome matches on there.
heres a 40min one i found. slow in the beginning but well paced. insane bumps. the one at the end its as if the guy is dead.

anyone else like this stuff?
i'd wager a decent ammount on "no" and this thread will drop back into obscurity.

Japanese wrestling kicks ass - I can barely stand to watch the US stuff anymore... the Japanese feds put so much more emphasis on WRESTLING, which is the name of the freakin' game! (most of them) Kenta Kobashi would kill half the guys in WWE or TNA, but they'd probably write some dumb soap opera story line where he's secretly dating Triple H... :rolleyes:

yes wrestling is fake in the sense that match outcomes are pre-planned and wrestlers work together to pull off the moves.
but some of the contact is incredibly stiff and landing on their heads like they do must hurt. no ammount of give in the mat will stop that.

All those exploders by Akiyama were sick too... that was a great match, with awesome story-telling. You didn't know who was gonna come out the winner, but that burning hammer at the end was brutal - I yelled "oh fuuuuck!" when it happened. LOL :eek: :D
That should be required viewing by today's up-and-coming wrestlers here in the US. It's not about "what's my next flippy move", it's about taking the viewers on a ride, not just 5 minutes of repeated high spots...
