splawn competition
Question: How does the Splawn competition clean up? just wondering Answer: It cleans up pretty decent with the guitar volume. Not 'Fender' clean, but decent for a 'high gainer'. Answer: bump Answer: Hey Lingo. I guess the problem getting responses might be that those of us who own Competitions aren't into clean, which is why we bought massive gain single-channel amps. :D If you're talking about for live work, solely using the guitar's volume knob to clean up, there's pretty much always a bit of crunch in there. But of course Splawns are dynamic, less compressed creatures, and softer picking yields a cleaner sound. For recording though, where you can lower the gain way back to 9:00 and raise the master, you find a surprisingly usable selection of clean tones down there. Answer: Hey Lingo.
