Homework Assignment: Design Me a Rig!!!

Question:
OK, here's the assignment...I have finished selling off most of my stuff in order to fund a new rig. Right now all I have is a Vox V848 wah and a Seymour Duncan pickup booster, along with my axes. I play both strat single coils and humbuckers.
I play in a cover band that does just about everything from country, blues, to hard rock...we'll go from Alan Jackson to Offspring to Beatles in the span of three songs...and we're terrible, but its' fun. So, I'd like a set up that is quite versatile, but I don't need any nu-metal or death-metal type gain.
Most important to me is (1) having a clean that is a bit warmer than a DRRI, but less middy than a Vox AC30, and (2) having dirt that is round, warm, creamy...I hate fizz and spikey mids/harshness. Amp needs to be able to heard over a drummer...likely 30 watts minimum.
So, here's what I need:
1. Amp
2. Delay effect (not sure if I need tap tempo or a looper)
3. Chorus effect
4. EQ pedal
5. Flanger or Phaser pedal
6. Dirt/OD pedals (if the amp you recommend is just a clean)
7. Reverb pedal (if amp doesn't include it)
With a budget of $1000-1200 for everything (including patch cables), what should I be considering, looking at?
Thanks in advance for any and all recs.

Answer:
Ooo! These are fun. Nice description, here's what I'd suggest for you:
1. Amp - Epiphone Blues Custom 30, it's a sleeper amp but it's cleans sound exactly what you are describing. Very nice dirty channel as well, but we'll get into that later with pedals...
2. Delay effect (not sure if I need tap tempo or a looper) - You don't need a looper, and tap tempo is nice but not anything special for cover tunes. I would pick up a Boss DD-7, fairly new pedal and is getting rave reviews. It has tap tempo and a 40 second looper built in as well, very neat.
3. Chorus effect - BBE Mindbender, a clone of the Way Huge Blue Hippo. KILLER sound, plus you get a wicked vibrato mode
4. EQ pedal - You don't touch these much, so I would get a Dano Fish n' Chips
5. Flanger or Phaser pedal - Personally would go with a Marshall Regenerator and get both on one box.
6. Dirt/OD pedals (if the amp you recommend is just a clean) - Very important, so I would advise to spend a bit more on this. For a very natural sound without the mid-honk, I would pick up a Hartman LM308 Op-amp. It's a ProCo Rat & an Ibanez TS-808 in one box which will cover ALOT of ground.
7. Reverb pedal (if amp doesn't include it) - The Blues Custom has tube reverb. :)
This setup is very versatile and will cover anything you need it to do with very little tweaking and screwing around. :thu:
Good luck on your purchases!

i think this is another jump-shipper from UG

Answer:
i think this is another jump-shipper from UG No, I just know that at tgp they are going to laugh at a $1200 budget, whereas a UG it'll be Bugera 333XL.
This is where I go for reasonable, applicable advice.
Keep it coming!!

Answer:
Used Dr. Z Z28
Visual Sounds H20 (it's both a delay and a chorus)
Crowther Hotcake
MXR Phase90
Forget the EQ pedal and a reverb would be a little redundant with the delay too...

Thanks for all the suggestions... I have played through a Crate Palamino V32 and really liked it quite a bit. I have never played an Epi BC30, but all the clips I have heard on line make it sound terrific. Will definitely get down to Sam Ash and/or GC to try it out.
Thanks again everyone.

Answer:
The BC30's overdrive channel is useless for anything harder than light rock or blues. I had to use an overdrive pedal on the overdrive channel boosting it with the amp's gain very low and in class A/B mode to get anything resembling a cohesive rock tone. The amp get sloppy in a hurry. The crates don't.
And the class A mode on the BC30 is worthless for rock.
