Would non destructive upgrades devalue an american stratocaster?

Question:
I have a 2006 Highway One that I'm thinking about trading out for a tele ( don't ask, thats another thread ). It's in great condition, but I have done upgrades to it. Basically, strap locks ( using original screws ) , graph-tech saddles, extra springs, and direct replacement schaller locking tuners.
If I provided the original hardware to somebody, would it still be considered original condition? No holes have been drilled anywhere or any modifications to wiring or anything
I prefer to err on the ethical side when listing things and fully disclose problems/mods , so I figured I would ask you guys before I listed it somewhere ( probably not here, as I prefer local trades...unless any philly guys are out there and got something :thu: )
Anyway, Opinions would be valued....
Edit : The biggest question out of all of this is, would upgrades like this increase the resale value?

Answer:
Be upfront, be honest and be fair...good rules to live by man...

Answer:
Be upfront, be honest and be fair...good rules to live by man... Oh I'm right there with you bud
I guess I forgot to mention, the biggest question is, would the upgrades...upgrade the resale value too?

Answer:
I can maybe respond putting myself in the buyer's shoe. To me, the description of the "mods" you made would not concern me too much (except I'd like to know if the tuners are indeed better than the original ones. It would make it more desirable only if I happen to want those replacements (do I want graph tech or vintage bent steel style ones?). Your honest approach would also play a big role in me wanting to deal with you and therefore buy your guitar. And you come accross as a very honest person so that's good karma right there. :thu:

Answer:
Those upgrades probably won't increase or decrease the value much. They're non-destructive and could easily be reverted back to original. If I were you and was definitely going to sell it, I would just put the original hardware back on it and sell the Schaller tuners, saddles, etc. separately.

Answer:
I realise all in a sudden that I will be faced with this question myself and it's even similar. I have a Gibson gary Moore sig LP that I don't like at all. It's gathering a fair amount of dust. It's been "upgraded" quite a bit: Classic 57's plain trussrod cover (I hate nameplates), TR-6 fine-tuning tailpiece. It is a slightly better guitar in this state than the original but If I am to sell it as a Gary Moore LP, There is no way I'll get as much with the mods as if I put it back to original state. Good for me, I'll put those 57's in another guitar (maybe my beloved Yammie).

Answer:
I say just put it back as original. That way it is stock for the buyer, and you can keep the parts.

Answer:
Any mods, whether they can be seen as upgrades or not, tend to depriciate an instrument.
As suggested, put it back in original shape

Answer:
The REAL question is, has the fretboard ever been baconed?

The REAL question is, has the fretboard ever been baconed? Erlewine mention that as part of the basic maintenance routine
