I hate EMGs and my Duncan '59's are annoying me...
Question: What should I look into? Answer: Dimarzios? Answer: Something more boutique style? Loads of different makers. From the UK I'd recommend Bareknuckle, Swineshead and Bulldog, and I'm sure theres dozens in the US worth looking at. (Swinesheads are very good value and you can get them with really nice wood coverings) Of course the weak dollar might put you off if you're in the USA, but if you're in europe theyre definitely worth a look. Answer: Dimarzios? lol. I was hoping maybe someone else has been in the same place and found something they liked. Any Dimarzio you may reccommend? Answer: Something more boutique style? I am in the U.S. Answer: lol. I was hoping maybe someone else has been in the same place and found something they liked. Any Dimarzio you may reccommend? I'm guessing its for metal, I'm rather fond of my X2N. Answer: What style of music? What specifically is bothering you about the 59's? Answer: Of course the weak dollar might put you off if you're in the USA, but if you're in europe theyre definitely worth a look. ya just have to rub it in dont ya? Answer: What type of guitar? What type of music? What amp? Answer: What type of guitar? What type of music? What amp? Ibanez neck through => '95 Rivera Knucklehead => G-Flex 2x12 w/ EVM12L's. Hopefully I will be getting a Mak 2 or Makoplex soon. I want something that will clean up better using the guitar volume, and maybe be a bit clearer. The '59 seems a bit muddy to me? I dunno. I am not really feeling the '59 anymore. I like the Duncan Jazz neck. Its pretty nice... But the '59 is just not meshing with my rig. The guitar is kinda new, and I just recently put in the EVM's. Sounds great with my friend's Schecter, but I can't remember the pickups. All I know is that the '59 seems a bit mushy. Answer: I'm guessing its for metal, I'm rather fond of my X2N. Eh. I wouldn't say I am a metal player. I kinda dance around the metal genre, but never really completely jump in. Answer: i like my JB's- they can do metal and can clean up good too. Answer: WCR Ironman /thread Answer: bare knuckle ftw Answer: Tonerider Rocksongs Dimarzio PAF Pros Duncan SH-5 or SH-6 for bridge, Pearly Gates for neck. Answer: distortion for the bridge Answer: I use stock pu's:idea: Answer: Haha, I'm stuck with pathetic Ibanez INF's in my RG. I just don't feel like paying a ton to have new ones installed/do it myself. The only decent thing about them is that they have a mid hump that helps them cut a bit. Answer: Buy the frickin BKPs and stop your bitchin. Answer: Yup. Stick a JB in there. what humbucker for? Semi OT: This is pretty funny? Oh Dear Me; Serious Midi GAS; KORG Content? OT: Black Snake Moan? Smart Little Girl? Say what you want about Adam and the Ants? Calling Freeman Keller (or any other luthier who hangs out here)? Splawn vs. Mesa * VID INSIDE *?
