Question:
Wondering what you guys are using for your kid's guitar straps. "Regular" straps are too long for my 9 year old. Is there a kids strap or are you modifying regular straps?

How short is your kid that any old strap cinched up all the way is too long? Unless he/she is using small scale guitar.
I have a Levy's and a Planet Waves straps that when cinched all the way up I can barely fit my head through. I tried this with my Tele and LP though, perhaps whatever your kid is using has the strap buttons closer together.
Do you have any music stores near you that cater more to students? Maybe they can help you find something in the right size. They usually have short scale guitars and basses, I would think that they might carry shorter straps also.

They can be cinched up until they're tiny.

thanks I have one of those leather Levy's straps with the holes but I don't like it. I am tall and I can't get comfortable with that strap.
I prefer the ones with the slidable adjustment. That would be more suitable for kids as you can make them pretty small.
