Fender Bassman Appreciation
Question: Played one for the first time last night. It was cranked and boosted with a BBE Green Screamer. It was f'ckn glorious. Now I wants:cry: Answer: Love em. SF models can be found in the $3-400 range. No brainer purchases. Answer: My '67 Blackface just went into the shop today. I can't wait to get it back! Jumped channels + HotPlate + Marshall Cab + Bad Monkey = :love: Answer: I love that tone too :) . Answer: I love my Bassman. It has been rockin it since 1968. Answer: They sound great but are just too loud for what I do lately. What I do these days, I just use a Fender Tweed Deluxe into a Super Reverb's 4x10. Answer: I enjoy mine a lot, but I don't seem to play it enough. I think I'll go play it tonight... Answer: Hey, just a quick question. I got a Bassman 100 head from the 70's. Was just wondering how you go about bridging the channels? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Russ Answer: tweed bassman > most all other non-tweed amps. check out victoria's lineup. great stuff. i spent some time with a 35310 (bandmaster) this past weekend. teh sex Answer: I use a DIY 5F6A Tweed Bassman (4X6V6) with a 63 RI Reverb unit and on rare occasions a 535Q Wah. All the vintage tone I can use through 4x10" AlNiCos. I am not big into stomp boxes for some reason. Answer: Tweed Bassman, best all around amp ever made.
