just got my Epi LP Custom in the mail today. Cant find a blemish. The pick guard is a little scratched, but you can only see it when the light hits it right, otherwise it is gorgeous.
I got a Ibanez starter pack 2 months or so ago. The sustain and clarity on this thing is incredible in comparison. Oh i forgot to take the plastic cover off the pups. Although after i took it off, there appears to be tons of fingerprints on it. There is a closeup of the pickguard in the last photo. dont know if you can even see the scratches.
I am VERY happy with this. Cant wait till my blackheart arrives.
Just one question, the bridge pups are not flat. they are slanted toward the neck. is this normal?!? The neck pups are more or less flat so I am confused.
both pups work fine.

That's a beauty. I'm convinced that all "blemish" items are perfectly fine; they just use them to cause us to make impulse decisions. I bought a Korg AX1500G "blem" from MF a while back and I couldn't find anything wrong with it. :idk:

Yeah, I don't really get the "Blem" system. I sent a Gibson Explorer back that was scratched really badly and they didn't charge me for returning it as a Blem then I sent back a Gibson Les Paul Jr. with a tiny black mark on the cutaway and they charged me a $200 restocking fee.

I did notice that the strings are angled too. I was wondering if that was normal. Les Pauls are much different than Strat clones. freaked me out when i got it.
Took me hours to set it up correctly because i had only set up strat clones before. forgot to stretch the strings so it was acting funny. worked really well after stretching.
Thanks! the thing is beautiful. This is like playing a completely different instrument than the cheapo $150 dollar guitars. I can hardly believe the difference. WOW.
Oh and HOW DO I STOP buying stuff?!? I have a blackheart 5W on the way and the other day, i was on CL and bought a Fender 4x12 and i dont even have a head!!!

I purchased a blem Strat from MF a couple of weeks ago and mine like yours is perfect. Can't find a thing wrong with it (except the person playing).
I think when someone returns a guitar for any reason, they just sell them as blems.

I knew I was in trouble when i bought a used GE-412 and I didnt even have a head. I've had the thing months! Just sitting there staring at me...it made me order a head for it! :D
