Answer: came to debating post in ebay ( ) It talked the paradox that ppl criticized brand guitars made in china but ppl keep buying guiatars from such as cheapguitarcenter. criticize for oem or imitating. buy for high quality and low price owing to cheap labor cost in china. frankly, i buy china stuff and i m not against china stuff what's your views? I buy American or British when I can and I avoid Chinese when I can. Answer: I have no prejudice against where a guitar is manufactured. Answer: I own no chinese guitars and never have Answer: A guitar should be judged by its quality, not the country of origin. My only problem with chinese guitars, are the forgeries of Gibsons etc. Answer: I own a chinese guitar. I thought it was going to be from Korea, which I preferred. I bought it online, the first one I received was from Korea, but it was damaged, the replacement was from china. I plays alright, but I do not like supporting China for political reasons. Though, it is hard not to in the current manufacturing climate. My father-in-laws business is doing poor right now because the chinese are ripping off his products. There seems to be no respect for TM, or patents. This is an interested first post. Let me guess, you are a guitar manufacturer in China.:cop: Answer: 30 minutes after i play a Chinese guitar, i want to play again.:freak: j/k, i dont own any Chinese guitars. Answer: Chinese manufactures have little to no business ethics. They don't respect intellectual property laws and have no problem stealing patented designs and producing forgeries. All good reasons not to support them by buying their products. I try to avoid the Chinese products when I can, however it is not that easy these days due to the cheap Chinese products flooding the markets. Max Answer: My Ibanez is Chinese made. It's built and finished better than a whole lot of European or American guitars are, that's for sure, but I guess not all the Chinese mades are this good. I find it funny that litterally everything is made in China nowadays, but guitar players are so snobby that they turn them down before even playing them, while having a phone call with their MIC phone or listening to their MIC mp3 player. Having said that, I would feel better if my guitar had a Made in Japan tag, but maybe that's becaue I frequent these forums too much, but also because of the less than perfect circumstances under which my guitar may have been brought to life, though I don't know that for a fact. Answer: A guitar should be judged by its quality, not the country of origin. My only problem with chinese guitars, are the forgeries of Gibsons etc. What if it were made in North Korea or Myanmar? Nazi Germany? Imperial Japan? Don't much care for Chinese stuff, buy it sometimes, avoid it when I can. The first Chinese guitars I ever saw a few years ago were junk, more recent ones are much better. I like my two Tursers, once I scrapped the microphonic pickups. Answer: What if it were made in North Korea or Myanmar? Nazi Germany? Imperial Japan? oh come one now... i'd be happy to buy an american guitar even though you've got george w and p diddy Answer: came to debating post in ebay ( ) It talked the paradox that ppl criticized brand guitars made in china but ppl keep buying guiatars from such as cheapguitarcenter. criticize for oem or imitating. buy for high quality and low price owing to cheap labor cost in china. frankly, i buy china stuff and i m not against china stuff what's your views? are you a cheap guitar chinese operative? Answer: oh come one now... i'd be happy to buy an american guitar even though you've got george w and p diddy Well, if I read you right your country produced Air Supply and sent it over here on a mission of destruction - but I try not to hold that against you. :) Answer: This: Chinese manufactures have little to no business ethics. I even go a step further by not buying from American companies that move American jobs over to China.. Soon, everything I own will be MIA, MIJ, MIM or MICa (Canada, ehh!).. No more MIK, no more MIC.. I don't just limit my patriotic consumerism to guitars either. I go out of my way, and pay more most of the time, for non-MIC goods if available. I'd happily pay Line6 an extra $200 for a MIA version of the X3 if they'd do it.. Answer: This: is part of the reason I don't, and WON'T, own anything MIC if I can help it. LOL:lol: Answer: Well, if I read you right your country produced Air Supply and sent it over here on a mission of destruction - but I try not to hold that against you. :) never heard of 'em Answer: China isn't monolithic. It boasts both 'legitimate' manufacturing facilities working hand-in-glove with American, European and Japanese megacorps, run to standards of professionalism, safety and employee care set in tandem with those companies AND cheapjack, wildcat, rip-off operations producing stuff you woudn't want to buy under conditions you wouldn't want to contemplate. Equating one with the other is to (in Dubya's celebrated phrase) 'misunderestimate' just how huge and varied a country it is. There's a world of difference between a tacky 'GibSUN' rip-off and an MIC Epi. All they have in common is that they're made in the same country by people who speak the same language and share a superficial physical resemblance. Answer: my favorite guitar is an S101 335 clone, its Chinese. Plays and feels like "THE" guitar. For me, the search is over. Answer: I got a used Ep Les Paul Standard (Ebony) from craigslist for $190 with skb case. It was made in Epi's Qing Dao factory. Plays and looks great, no negative elec. issues. Action way better than I expected. I've played others that had bad action, so each is different, just like any make. I can't generalize as far as origin e.t.c. Answer: I have no prejudice against where a guitar is manufactured. same. China is in its modern economic revolution, like the States not so long ago. Hell, in the States, there used to be no "ethics" during its economic revolution, until books and papers began investigating what's happening in slaughterhouses, etc. etc. Even the child labor law is a relatively recent law in the overall history of the United States. So give China time. Technoviking? Happy new guitar day for me? Post a pic of your bedroom thread? What do you think about this bargain? Egnater + 5150 Clips? Strat for metal is it possible?
