Who makes heritage quality les pauls these days?

I'm going to drop teh cash bomb on a les paul
but I don't like gibson, I feel that their name alone demands a price not equal to their quaity
I want it to be paul shaped and awesome

If you've got cash and curiousity you could try a navigator

Yup gotta agree with that ,, I live in kalamazoo. I own two heritage guitars. a H140 and a 535. If you are lookin at LP type ,, you want a H150. These guitars are very high quality as is their quality control. You can pull the trigger on one over the net sight unseen and not worry about getting a dog. I have met the guy that does all the final inspections and setups. He is a total monster on chet style playing....they are all plek'ed out of the factory ,,, they are gig ready when you get them. They are not the cheapest ,, but they wont leave you gassing for another set neck guitar ... you may get fender gas though lol.......rat
