Help me pick between these two
Question: Ok, I like to play a little of everything, blues, rock, and metal. I'm looking for something new, something different, and something versatile. Between these two guitars, which would you all recommend? Thanks. or They cost pretty much the same; maybe $100-$200 difference. Answer: i'd go with the longhorn. some will say the other one because of the longhorn's emg's but i have emg's in my tele and you can get a ton of different sounds out of them. i've seen everything from slide blues to death metal played on them. i love the 85s. nice and beefy. Answer: plus the color of the longhorn is orgasmicly awesome :thu: Answer: I like the look of the Vox Answer: i'd go with the longhorn. some will say the other one because of the longhorn's emg's but i have emg's in my tele and you can get a ton of different sounds out of them. i've seen everything from slide blues to death metal played on them. i love the 85s. nice and beefy. Yeah. I just went over some of the H-C reviews of the EMG 85 and was very suprised of what I read. The word that I kept seeing was the word, "balanced". Thanks. Answer: I like the look of the Vox They both look like great guitars. I think that the Vox will run something like $2,400 and the Gibson, $2,200 & some change over at sweetwater. I have a few guitars right now: a 2005 Gibson Melody Maker, a PRS McCarty Soopbar Standard Rosewood, an OLP Silhouette Special, and an acoustic Takamine EF341-C. Of all of them, I tend to gravitate more to the Melody Maker. It's got a chunky neck, but it's so fun to play. The PRS Rosewood neck is so smooth, but like I said, when I reach for a guitar, it's usually the Melody Maker. I figured that since the scale length and neck profile of the Melody Maker and Longhorn would be the same, perhaps it would be something that I might enjoy more, but.......................... See, the PRS is so sweet to play, but I don't really care for it's sound. So yeah, obviously, it has to play good, but sound good as well. Hence my plea for assistance. Answer: I'd go with the Vox Virage. It's getting really great reviews. Answer: I'd go with the Vox Virage. It's getting really great reviews. Daammmnnnn! Yeah, they look sweet! Reviews? They loved it. the Virage DC and SC are equipped with triple-coil pickups which, along with two pickup selector switches, offer humbucking, single-coil and P-90 sounds. There's also a new bridge design. Great Guitar. :thu: Answer: i would go with the gibson but i would change all the hardwear to chrom to match the emgs. Answer: Gibson.
