Need help finding good replacement Speakers... HELP!!!
Question: I'm in the process of trying to find some good replacement speakers for my Sheffield's that I have right now in my 5150. The high's are a little to hissy for me and the bottom end isn't quite solid enough for me. I'm not looking for something ridiculously expensive but not something extra cheap either ($100-$250 range for a set of two or four depending on quality). I play heavy music with melody so I need something that comes up real thick and chunky but can also handle clean and melodic sounds as well. I'll be powering them with the 4 Ohm Mosvalve listed in my signature and a 2150 Digitech rack mounted effect system for the distortion and effects. All I've looked at so far is Celestion but am open to other suggestions. I almost bought four Celestion G12T100's (4 ohm) on Ebay for $150. This sound like a decent deal and/or match? Any advice is appreciated!!! Answer: You want some Warehouse Guitar Speakers. $45 a pop + shipping, and they're as good or better than Celestions depending on who you ask. I'd go for the Veteran 30s with a 5150. $194.31? me likey.? HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY NEVER FORGET.? Funniest thing a Guitar Center Employee has told you? Obscure off brand guitars on EBAY? Potential Scam?
