What Delay?
Question: After listening carefully to a variety of great lead sounds, one thing I notice is used a lot is a touch of delay. I'm looking to add a delay to my setup, but I'm not too bothered about what else it can do, I'm thinking Gary Moore rather than the edge! Would something like the behringer dd400 do, I'm thinking as a fairly mild effect, it wouldn't have to be the greatest pedal in the world If not the behringer, what do you think of the danelectro or marshall offerrings? Any sugestions? Answer: I would just try the Danelectro FAB Delay. If you aren't looking for all the bells and whistles, those FAB pedals will blow you away for only $15. Answer: There are so many which delay threads we seem to have one every other day lol. I have the Marshall Echohead very versatile delay with 6 different modleing settings on it, well worth the money. Buy one and thank me later. Answer: there is no fab delay, its called the fab echo, and it has a fixed time funtion. It really a slapback. that said, I have and like it. Good for jazz, surf and thickening leads. I was thinking of modding it today to have a time knob. There are diys that detail how to do it. unfortunately, there really isnt room in the housing for another pot. I really dont want to have the pot superglued to the side of the housing, pretty ghetto. Answer: go to the HCEF and watch the fur fly ... me, i have a DD-20 Answer: You should check out the boss dd3. I'm pretty happy with it. I use it for some lead stuff and country stuff. With all the knobs set to 12 o'clock it adds a cool almost reverb like sound.
