I really do try to like them, but the lack of melody and complete focus on rhythm kills it for me. I prefer genres such as melodic death metal more.

I think Meshuggah is great... but they are a band that's easy to hate, since it's so dissonant.
I love DEI, Catch 33, I, and Chaosphere. Obzen and Nothing I haven't gotten into that much.

Periphery is very good, although I do not like the vocals but every one has different likes. I have to give props to bulb, because he is an amazing guitarist.
