I keep getting the run around from parts places - simple question about modding my SG Special - will the push/pull pots fit inside it? appears to be just under an inch of clearance inside the cavity. Has anyone done this?
[space is super tight in there, but I think I can handle two push/pulls if they are not too long]

Alpha 500k push-pull pots work fine.
I have these in my SG and they are wonderful.
Here's a crummy photo but you can see the vol knobs pulled up if you look close enough. (by choice my tone control was moved to #4)

Questions: Are they all the same size? Are all SG's from Gibson the same size? Any other brands that have worked - didn't see that brand the places I was looking.

I had them in an Epi SG. No doubt they will fit a Gibson also.
