Anyone know anything about how these speakers perform? I checked the reviews section, but there was nothing on them.

I have an Avatar Vintage 2x12 with one Hellatone 60 and one Hellatone 30 and it sounds pretty sweet to me.

So which would you recommend to someone looking for a more raw and gritty tone when using overdrive, but also wants a cleaner, more saccharine sound when playing clean? The G12H30 or it's Hellatone version?

Hellatone 60's are pre-broken in V30's that have a little more bass and little less highs. Hellatone 30's are pre-broken in G12H30's with the same thing. The Hellatone 60 is just a straight V30 that's broken in. The Hellatone 60L is the one with more bass and a little less highs. I have a pair of the 60Ls and they sound sweet. Tons of mids like a V30, but a little warmer with more low end and less of that high mid spike. If you like V30s, the Hellatone 60Ls are even better and cheaper too. If he had them in 8ohm, I'd probably replace all the V30s I own with them. Great speaker. And they sound great right out of the box.

I put a Hellatone 30 in my Mesa/Boogie DC-3 (had a Vintage 30 in their originally) and I love it.

All they are are V30's, and a special, commissioned V30 (the 60L,) that have been tone softened by running frequencies through them to ease them in and break them in nicely.
They sound awesome by the way, worth the money for sure.

hellatones are their respective celestion counterparts. they are simply bought in bulk, broken in, and re-labeled. that's all.
i have no idea why anybody who knows about hellatones would actually buy a regular celestion brand new when hellatones are so much cheaper. and yes, I have had each of them, and they are what they are. if you like those sounds (i love the 30 in certain amps) then you'll love them. if i were you, I would mix the 60L and the 30.

i have 2 helltatone60ls x-patterned with G12T-75 in my hartke cab... i love it...the other kid in my band bought v30s that were new and couldnt handle the tone cause it was a little rough not bein broken in....he went back to his b52 speakers...course hes a huge idiot...i would just break them in.
