all bought used. Does this sound good for like this type of stuff? and occasionally teh br00tz :rawk: Would the dsl50 sound good mixed with the recto for the dirt? And then classic 30 or dsl for cleans? Would this be teh uber br00tz :rawk:

Personally, I like the Classic 30 cleans more than the DSL.
Put a very small amount of delay on the dirt part of that recording, btw. It'll sound really good.

I love my DSL100 with my 1960BX. Can't go wrong in my opinion with Greenbacks if you're looking into getting the DSL. I actually use the red channel on my DSL which many don't. I don't get any of the fizziness that others associate with it.

How much different do the 50 and 100 sound?

Not much. I'd say the biggest difference is the headroom on the clean channel but I set up the green channel for a little dirt and roll back for clean cleans anyway. Some people say the 100 has more low end than the 50 but I don't notice any difference at all. I want a DSL50 though so I can get rid of my 4x12 and get a 2x12 with Greenbacks.
