NGD, Classic Player Jaguar (with review-ish)

Question:
So today I set out on my quest to get a(nother) offset Fender. After calling every Fender shop in the midstate area, the only place that had any of the new Classic Players was guitar center, and they had one White Jaguar HH special. I was kinda set on a Jazzmaster, but I figured I'd head up and give it a shot.
Seriously, they handed me the guitar and I fell in love. They are beautiful guitars, like all jags, but no picture I've ever seen has done this thing justice, and certainly mine won't.
So I plugged it in, and tried it out....
This thing sounds amazing. Not only does it sound amazing, but you can coax so many sounds of this thing. The 2 humbuckers can be split and blended, which is an awesome little feature, giving you a good twangy single coil, a nice humbucker and everything in between. A kill switch is another nice little feature that I just might never NEED. It's got another switch that I remember being reffered to as some kind of cut, however I really don't notice any difference when I hit that guy.
I love playing it, too. Oh my god talk about a comfortable guitar. Not too heavy, nice neck weight, width radius and scale, medium jumbo frets are quite pleasant... The bridge being moved up, and the slotted adjust-o-matic bridge really appears to have cleared up the problems, but I noticed it is a very resonant bridge... kind of a GOOD thing, I reckon.
There's a few cons I suppose I should mention. For one, the volume and tone knobs on mine, once you turn them as far as they go, with a little force, they just keep rotating on the pots. Not a huge deal, but I'd sleep a little better if they didn't. Also, the bridge pup coil blend wheel hits a rough spot where it's a lot harder to move than the neck pup wheel. not a huge dillio, either. Lastly, the tremelo-lock button, maybe this is on all jags, but whenever you lock the trem on mine, it can still be pushed down, just not pulled up... it only locks it in one direction, but I'm not really concerned about that one either.
Basically, I love this thing. It's got it's few issues, but they're all very easily remedied for basically free. Sounds, plays, feels amazing. If anyone out there is considering one, holy shit, go buy it, it's really not gonna disappoint you. I can understand not wanting to spend $800 on a Mexican guitar, who buy who cares where's it made when it's made well and is a great guitar?
p.s., Please excuse the shitty photos.

Very noice, congrats :thu:

Answer:
just bought the same guitar today :)
i was sitting and thinking about a month ago how i wanted a fender jazzmaster but with humbuckers....then these guys came out and i felt it was a sign.
so you mean to say the pickups are blendable? the two pots on the top aren't volume and tone like on the jazzmaster? so the switch right next to that turns that on? where are the coil taps? i thought the electronics were just like a regular jag

I think. I'm pretty sure. Dude, maybe not. Maybe I'm totally wrong, but what I thought was that like, there was one for each pup, and if you put the whole way to one side, humbucker, whole way to the other, single coil. Shit, i might be wrong, though. it SOUNDED like that, kinda, though.

Answer:
Pickup Switching 2-On/Off Slide Switches, One for Each Pickup, Master Kill Lead Circuit: 2-Position Tone Switch, Volume, Tone, Rhythm Circuit: Cut switch, Humbucker/Single Coil Blend - One for Each Pickup
Noooooooo idea how to read that

Answer:
Yea, no, it was how I said it was. The two rollers up by the kill switch are the coil splits, you actually blend them, not like a 2 position split/not split.

Answer:
This wasn't the lancaster GC was it? I tried one exactly like that there.

Answer:
This wasn't the lancaster GC was it? I tried one exactly like that there. Nah, this was the Harrisburg one.

Answer:
Nah, this was the Harrisburg one. Good, cause the one in lancaster was a QC turd. I really liked the pups in it and the switching was interesting but it just didn't feel good to play, I gathered the impression that it was just not one of the good ones.

I was worried about fret ends, I played a MIM tele deluxe that would literally cut your hands, but this is immaculate.

Answer:
How you described the trem lock is exactly how it's supposed to work.

How you described the trem lock is exactly how it's supposed to work. I plead ignorance. I just thought it was supposed to lock the whole thing.

Answer:
That looks cool! HNGD!

Answer:
so sweet congrats! :thu:

I'll bet it has high quality CTS/Switchcraft electronics. Most of the high end MIM stuff does.
Personally, I think that the quality of the MIM guitars on the level of your Jag is as high as MIA.
Great find. How's the sustain?

Great find. How's the sustain? It actually sustains pretty well. Like, surprisingly well, the whole thing is surprisingly resonant and loud unplugged and whatnot. I'm not a huge sustain Junkie anyway, but this thing pleases me in that field.
