This is the first satch CD i ever bought. I listen to him but, never really been a Huge fan. I am diggin this CD, its on constant rotation.

Love Satch. Crystal Planet is absolutely brilliant.
Sadly, the new album is incredibly terrible. :( I liked Is There Love In Space a lot and Super Colossal was ok, but Professor Satchafunkilus is just bad.... some of it is cringe inducing.
Joe needs to get back on track. I'd love for him to do a stripped down album. Run a strat into a Marshall and channel Jimi for an album. Drop all the effects and keep it simple.

Man has that dude aged, still funky - but in a shouting into the mike way. He also had a guitar player that thought he was Hendrix, including pelvic thrusts with guitar in groin position, rubbing neck against mike stand and rolling over backwards on stage!

In my opinion, his best by far was his self titled one with the redish cover. Why? It sounds way more off the cuff, like a group of guys jamming. In addition to featuring Manu Cache on drums, one of my favs, I also think its his only album with a rhythm guitarist.

Truthfully I was really bored at this concert.. ya i woulnt want ot see this tour i dont think. I really enjoy the cd, but i put it on in the car when we are talking, or when groups of friends happen to be sitting in a circle chilling, and when im doing dishes, etc, etc. I dont put it on and listen extensivly.

Professor Satch is fine, just not one of my favorites from him.

I like the new record OK. Satch has never made a bad record, but some are better than others. I really like Surfing, Blue Dream, Extremist, the self-titled one, Crystal Planet, Strange Beautifiul Music, and Super Colossal.
